私の俳句(米司紀子) もう四年前になりますかしら、母校の同窓会誌に俳句のクラスの広告を見つけ、入会し、ホトトギス派の故稲畑汀子さんのお弟子、水田先生につきました。何も知らぬ俳句の世界に友達の反対を押し切り、飛び込んだのです。575の詩は難しく, ホトトギス派は字余りはだめ、季語も必ず入れなければなりません。楽しく、面白くて難しいです。書き初めや母の使ひし筆と墨                    特選母は書道に興味を持ち、書道芸術院の会員の先生に十五年習い、友達や私の祖母に手紙は筆書きでした。上達しないといつも悲しそうに自分の字を見つめて、つぶやいていました。私から見れば、上手だなと思っていたのですが。書きながら、又、駄目だとぼやいていました。しかし、先生には上手だよ、次の展覧会に出品しようと言われ、出品した掛軸をここにかけています。母の筆と墨を見ると練習に励んでいた母の姿がいつまでも見...

How about this for an idea? Our Wesley member Ann Sifflet hosted a Christmas luncheon and asked her friends to make a donation to Compassion ministries!! Several had already sent checks to the church, and the other guests made VERY generous donations! Talk about great Christmas gifts! Ann commented that people donate if they trust where their money is going. Thank you Ann!......
