44th ANNUAL SAN JOSE DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

Mark your calendar for the 2024 Day of Remembrance Sunday, February 18, 5:30-7:00 pm at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin Annex, 632 N. Fifth St. Sponsored by the Nihonmachi Outreach Committee, this year's theme is Youth Activism: Building Community and features Nina Chuang, past president, Associated Students of SJSU, Yvonne Kwan, SJSU Associate Professor, WWII incarceration survivor Susumu Ikeda. There will also be community speakers, a performance by San Jose Taiko, and the traditional candlelight procession through the streets of Japantown. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so plan to show up early. There will also many information tables from community groups.
