“Help” James Lick Youth Lends A Hand to Food Distribution

Our Food distribution program received a much needed boost from some 13 James Lick High School students doing community service work with all their helping hands on board. Here, Terri Koike, Tom Maeda and a couple of students help in prepping dry goods bags for our clients on April 22.
Misao Kusuda and Shizuko Adachi  set out can goods with assistance from a very tall and strong high schooler.
Roger Miller received an extra pair of hands for putting together unhoused bags.
Hiroko Yamahata and our student helper sort out the bread to be given out.
The refrigerator is always dripping water and we thank this youth for his help.
There’s always out-dated food needing to be tossed. Yuck!
The Tuesday Food Distribution Program thanks teacher Giovanni Paquiz and his students, the James Lick Comets, for their community service work in helping us provide food to our neighbors, Grant Elementary School and the unhoused at St. James Park.
