“A New Kind of Christian” Beginning Wednesday 6pm, Sept 4
Dan Poole was burnt out. He secretly was considering leaving the ministry. His faith no longer made sense to him the way it had when he was new to the ministry. Enter his new friend Neil Edward Oliver (or “NEO”), a teacher at his daughter’s school. Soon Dan and Neo are hav- ing deep conversations about life and faith and new ways of looking at Christianity.
Author Brian McLaren tackles the subject of Post-Modern Christianity, not with a theological treatise, but with a story of two friends on a journey together. They laugh, they cry, they wrestle with what it means to be people of faith in this Post-Modern era in his book “A New Kind of Christian”.
