We have hit the 3 week countdown and the many pieces of preparation are coming together to be ready for Aki Matsuri Day! Wesley UMC has continued to host this Japanese cul tural event and fall festival since the early 1930s!
Since then, some things have changed but the spirit of Aki Matsuri, the joy of inviting guests to our church, and the opportunity to share the warmth and fellowship of Wesley has remained the same.
Aki Matsuri is truly a labor of love that we as a church family share with our friends, family, neighbors and the community!
We know that it stretches all of us as we prepare delicious foods, create special handmade crafts, plan for affordable games/crafts for the kids and so much more. Let us approach this time of preparation with great anticipation, a heart of service, and an opportunity to share with others who we are as a church and faith community.
So let’s encourage one another in this last stretch to Aki Day!
Everyone’s time, talents and spirit helps to make Aki Matsuri a fun and successful means of outreach and fundraising to support our ministry.
Please check the Aki Websites for volunteer opportunities! Aki Matsuri Day Preparation Week is September 28‐October 4!
