Speaking on behalf of our ministerial staff, we hope that this Lenten Season is truly an opportunity for all of us to pause, be renew in faith, and drawn into the narrative of Jesus’ journey to the cross which gives life and meaning to our own spiritual journeys.
Through our Lenten season worship services, our Lenten studies, and your own personal devotional time and commitments we pray that you are touched by God’s grace in the very best ways.
Please remember that we have some very meaningful services forthcoming as we move through Lent and Holy Week to experience the joy of Easter. We encourage you to come and tend to your spiritual wellness. Please join us for the following worship services:
Palm Sunday April 14th at 10am
Along with our remembrance of Jesus’ triumphant entry in Jerusalem and the beginning of his painful week before his crucifixion, this year’s Palm Sunday service will include a rededication of our commitment as a “reconciling” United Methodist Church that promotes welcome and inclusion of our LGBTQIA persons. We feel this is an important reaffirmation to remember and uphold in light of the recent decision made at the Special General Conference of the UMC in February 2019.
Good Friday Services April 19th at 7pm.
The Good Friday services remember the final days of Jesus’ earthly life; the trial and crucifixion. It is a service that helps us to fathom the depth of God’s love as expressed through the sacrifice of Jesus the Christ. It is often said by many to be one of the most powerful services experienced.
