Our 2019 Lenten Studies are very popular with many people already signed up. Don’t miss out on this important spiritual growth opportunity that begins after Ash Wednesday on March 6. A new time is available before worship at 9:00 am when Virginia Bailey leads the Simon Peter study in the Small Conference Room. And for those with very busy schedules, we have a Thursday breakfast group also looking at Simon Peter. We’ll choose a restaurant location based on what’s convenient for you, so let Mark Teagle know if you are interested in that. And there’s room in the other groups as well. Contact <firstname.lastname@example.org> for more information.
STUDY: SIMON PETER:
He left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. And that’s the point of Simon Peter, a six-week adult Bible study by Adam Hamilton.
Simon Peter study is available Sundays at 9:00am, Mondays at 9:30 am, Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, Thursdays at 7:30 am, and Saturdays at 9:30 am.
STUDY: EMBRACING THE UNCERTAIN
Embcing the Uncertain invites readers this Lent to engage and wrestle with life’s uncertainties, not ignore them. The first six chapters focus on six post-Transfiguration, pre-Passion stories in the Gospels. Each of these stories are signposts in the gospel narrative, pointing down at a world filled with uncertainty, but pointing us forward to a cross that can show us how to follow Jesus with courage, hope, and obedience.
Embracing the Uncertain is available Sundays at 11:30 am and Mondays at 7:00 pm.
Sign up Sundays at the Information & Sign-up Table or by emailing email@example.com. If none of these times work for you, let us know and we'll try to accommodate your schedule.
