There are 14 letters from Ujitawara, a small town near Kyoto, Japan. The senders are looking to make new friends, practice their English, and learn more about you and the world! Use this opportunity to make a new friend in Japan, learn and practice your Japanese, and learn more about Japan!
Letters can be mailed all together. You do not need to worry about mailing the letter yourself! Feel free to bring a picture of yourself to share with your pen pal. Stationary will be provided on the workshop days, but you are welcome to provide your own! Participants can write letters together!
Thanks to Rebecca Urata, daughter of Marilyn and Ted Hasegawa, for this great opportunity! Rebecca taught English in Japan for three years.
Required from all participants:
· Contact information to be notified of updates when letters are sent and
· Permission from a parent/guardian for participants under the age of 18.
