“Doors Open” the LGBTQ-themed musical-comedy by our own Mark Teagle returns to the Wesley Stage. While it is free and open to the public, donations are encouraged. Share this performance with your friends and neighbors, those wanting to hear the story of a soon-to-be Reconciling Congregation as it wrestles with the issue of LGBTQ people in their church.
Since its workshop production last year, the play has been revised including one new song. Cast members have been added. Even if you were one of the more than 300 people who attended last year, you’ll want to see it again. “This is an important story to tell,” says writer-director Mark Teagle. “It’s also important for us to tell it; to share the message that there are churches who open their doors to people who are LGBTQ.”
If you can help spread the news about “Doors Open”, pick up posters and flyers from the church office. Spread the word on social media. Invite your friends. Maybe this play will be an open door for people to experience God’s love through Wesley.
