Two Lent Studies Starting February 12th

Lent is a 40-day season of fasting and reflection, which gives Christians an opportunity to regroup, reflect, and refocus on the need for God’s salvation and restoration. This year, Wesley is offering three different Lenten studies, for six weeks each. First, “What Makes a Hero?” by Matt Rawle is a DVD based study looking at pop culture heroes as well as real life heroes and connecting them to the Gospel stories. It is a fun and insightful book that you can study during Lent. Second, “Made for a Miracle” by Mike Slaughter will remind you that you have been given specific talents and abilities to make a miracle. Slaughter’s book with DVD is grounded on traditional Christian teachings with emphasis on social justice. Last, “Meeting Jesus Again For the First Time in Gospel” will dig in scripture passages in-depth, searching for the meaning of the life of Jesus. No study book for this class. We hope and pray that Wesley Lenten Study 2018 will act as a new catalyst on your journey of faith. Please see the class schedule below. Sign-ups will be available in the fellowship hall.
