2 Advent Bible Studies/4 Times

This year Wesley offers two Advent studies. One study is “Faithful: Christmas Through the Eyes of Joseph” by Adam Hamilton. Joseph's place in the nativity story is often overlooked but contains valuable lessons for all of us. As you read this book, you will understand how Joseph's story is much like our own. Joseph provides us a great example of humbly obeying God even when we don't understand and faithfully moving forward in the strength that God provides. Another Advent study is “Journey to the Manger” by Paula Gooder. This book explores the New Testament’s various accounts of the birth of Jesus: their origins in Old Testament prophecies, the genealogies, the angelic announcements, the journeys and arrivals, and the aftermath of Jesus’ birth for the powerful and the poor alike. The Advent study will start from November 25th in various locations. Sign-ups are available in the fellowship hall.
