2001-2010 Tatoxcac, Mexico

Medical consultations are
provided at no cost to about
500 people each year
Villagers travel for several
miles to receive medical and dental services.
Our young people help with children and with repairs in the parsonage Vacation Bible School is offered
each year to children of the community.

2006, Iberia, Louisiana, Young Adults

Wesley's Young Adults answer the call to work on hurricane relief. Insulation is a necessity in this Louisiana climate. Panels are measured and cut for inside walls. Young Adults put the finishing touches on paneling

2007-2009, Panzacola, Mexico


By the end of our second visit to Panzacola our team had constructed the pulpit area and walls were beginning to take shape. In 2008 we saw an almost completed frame, as work was carried on by the congregation through the year. The old church was dismantled.



Drainage was prepared for the new building. By 2009, the new church was in use by the congregation. Our 2010 visit showed us what our work and that of the congregation accomplished!

2007 Dulac, Louisiana, Young Adults

Masks are worn to avoid construction dust.
Attaching siding to the home being worked on is hard work!
Fellowship and singing are part of the trip.
Wesley's Young Adults accomplish their goal in Dulac!

2008 Caruthers and Selma, California, Youth Group

MYFers begin constructing shelves. The task is almost complete. VBS activities are provided for local children. Wesley's team takes some time out to reflect on new friendships made.

2008 Schurz, Nevada, Young Adults

 

Young Adults travel to an Indian
Reservation in Schurz, Nevada.

The pastor's refrigerator needs to be repaired. The completed job leaves the parsonage with a working refrigerator The group cleans the parsonage garage.

2008-2009 San Matias, Mexico

Two days of Vacation Bible School served thirty children. Our team had to prepare deep holes for columns that would support the new roof.
The community was offered medical consultations with our doctor and given medications.
Our teammate from Puebla, a dentist, cleaned teeth and checked for dental problems. While in San Matias we visit the Senior's Home, offering companionship, music, and a meal.
Wesley women made lap blankets for each resident. There is no heat at the home in winter.

2009 Pharr, Texas, Young Adults

A new roof is needed. Young Adults create the Methodist Cross and Flame on their completed roof.
Vacation Bible School is provided for the children. Young Adults take time out to worship with members of the Pharr church.

2010 UMCOR Salt Lake City West Depot

Teams or individuals can visit the UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Depot to prepare Health Kits, Cleaning Buckets, Bedding Kits, Birthing Kits, Layette Kits and School Kits.

We prepare Health Kits at the Depot. Completed kits are boxed and stored for future needs. The Depot is ready for domestic or international assistance.

2010 Navuniyaro. Fiji

Children listen to a story during Vacation Bible School. After the Bible Story, a craft is enjoyed by all! Community members and VIM team work on church construction.
A stairway to the second level is completed during this trip. Construction of this level will be the 2011 project.

2010 Nueva Huixcolotla, Mexico, Young Adults

Young Adults traveled to this small village to begin construction of a new Methodist Church.
This is the land as it appeared before construction began.

2011 Tizimin, Mexico

We repair a water leak. An old fence needs to be taken down.
Brush must be removed.



Vitamins are given to all the children. A foundation is dug for the new wall.
We worship with members of Calvary Methodist Church.
