Wesley walks so others can live.  We walk in global solidarity with the millions who walk miles every day in search of food and water.  We support Church World Service development projects, refugee crisis, disaster assistance (75%).   We assist Sacred Heart Community Services and SecondHarvest Food Bank (25%) for local soup kitchens and shelters.

How you can help:

  1. Sign up as a walker with hundreds of your neighbors to walk one to three miles around the beautiful Rose Garden (Naglee Ave and Park Ave). Check in at Herbert Hoover Middle School on Dana Ave. at 1:00
  2. Sign up as a sponsor/supporter to pledge any amount.
  3. Sign up as both a walker and sponsor.
  4. Organize your own "mini walk" at your business, school, or neighborhood.
using CROP Walk materials and information packets. Chose your date and place.

Please visit the CROP Walk Info table at church on Sunday April 9 and 23 in the Fellowship Hall to sign up.  Please make checks out to "CWS/CROP Walk".  You can visit the Wesley website to sign up on line starting April 9.

"If you want to walk fast, walk alone.  If you want to walk far, walk together". (African proverb)

One CROPWalk speaker poignantly put it, "The spoon may be the symbol for eating, but let the humble ladle be our symbol for sharing".  Your gift of $25.00 supplies farming seeds and tools in a community garden and your gift of $100.00 provides 200 chicks for families as a self-propagating food source.
