Easter Activities 2011 |
|
|
The
season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Holy Week: a
remembrance of Jesus' final
and most difficult days of His ministry as He moves toward His
sacrifice upon the cross. Remembering these final days of Jesus'
life helps us to more deeply feel and appreciate the joy and hope of
the resurrection of Christ which is celebrated on Easter! Please
join us for these meaningful worship services and activities.
"Xtreme Witnesses of the Faith"
This year make Holy Week a special time to deepen the passion and commitment of your personal faith and our collective passions by participating in a special Holy Week series entitled: “Xtreme Witnesses of the Faith.” With the leadership of Jeffrey Oldham, Virginia Bailey, and Rev. Keith Inouye we will learn about the life and passion of three very amazing witnesses to our Christian faith. The three Xtreme witnesses of faith that we will explore this year are Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Rev. Toyohiko Kagawa. All sessions will be held in the Conference Room at 10:00am and repeats at 7:00pm
