Did you know?
As reported by the Stockton Record in 1926, "it's nice to be an ice man!"  They're not talking about our own Rev. Dick Corson, better known as the Ice Man by fellow volunteers at Tuesday Food Distribution.  No, they're talking about his father!!!  Big Jim Corson is pictured in the artist's rendition and in the photo carrying a 200 lb chunk of ice!!  He had a summer job as an ice man, delivering ice, and then in the fall was a tackle on the Pacific football team.  Big Jim Corson was the heaviest active varsity player at 243 lbs on the Pacific Coast that year.  His son, Rev. Dick delivers messages to us on angel's wings----lighter than a feather!!  Yes, for both generations, it's nice to be an ice man!
