Special Music in August
During the month of August, our members were exhilarated to have special music performed by member of our church. On Aug. 19, our Ukulele virtuoso, Jake Shimada jointed the Praise Band for all the numbers played during service: “Cannons,” Build My Life,” “How God Loves,” and “Oceans,” Jake joined from left: Miyahara, Bakoshi, Dave Land, Todd SooHoo, and Joanne Miyahara.
The final week in August, the congregation was treated to the Brass Combo of the Wesley Jazz Band Ensemble which had from left: Jeffrey Leap, Mark Teagle (joining them), and Shizuko Adachi on vocals with instrumental accompaniment from Ted Hasegawa, Wayne Adachi and Dave Brown, and support from Ichiro Bakoshi and Todd SooHoo.
They also performed an instrumental version of “Amazing Grace."
