A Christian youth camp for all middle school age youth, entering 6th graders to 9th graders in fall 2011
JHC surround youth with God's love and focuses on encouraging them to exercise Jesus' lessons in their everyday lives. In an enjoyable and supportive environment, through worship, small groups, fellowship programs, teaching, and fun, JHC give youth the opportunity to learn more about their faith and themselves. All that is required of participants is an open heart, a willingness to learn about themselves and others, and the desire to grow in God's love.
This year's theme will challenge us to ask ourselves - are you a villain? We must admit there are parts of who we are, things we do and choices we make, that we may not be proud of. The story of "Despicable Me" helps us to admit our shortcomings and to find a renewed sense of identity through the transformative power of God's grace and love. Through the story of Gru, alongside the conversion story of Saul to Paul, we witness the amazing changes and transformations that can take place through God's grace and love. We become challenged to open our eyes to a new purpose and meaning of Christian community through family and faith. Love can provide a way for a renewed, reborn, recreated YOU!
