Camp Sierra

A Christian youth camp for youth entering 10th grade to sophomores in college in fall 2011. The mission of Asian Camp is to reach out to youth in our Asian American communities to lead them toward a closer relationship with Christ. Through worship, fellowship, prayer, growth groups, community builders, and outdoor activities, Asian Camp encourages campers to explore their faith, reflect on their personal identities, find a compassionate response to social justice issues, and use their spiritual gifts for God's glory. With special focus on equipping for the future, Asian Camp seeks to instill pride in each camper's spiritual, cultural, and ethnic identity.

This year's theme is called "Connectitude". We are excited to embark on a journey to better understand how our attitudes and image of God affects our relationship with God and others. We will be challenged to look at all these relationships and examine how our faith calls us to connect to greater humanity and hope to transform the world. God is constantly at work in us - inspiring us to grow in love and compassion. Will your relationship with God be expressed through your outreach to others? Come join us for the week of Asian Camp to make "connections" and to see what you can discover!

Registration fee is $435 per camper which includes a camp photo. Additional cost for camp T-shirt ($10) and sweatshirt ($20). Early registration must be postmarked by June 13. Thereafter a late fee of $50 will apply. Absolutely no registrations postmarked after July 4 will be accepted. Bus transportation fees for Wesley youth will be covered by the WUMC Youth Fund. To reserve a bus seat, please contact Viki Inouye by May 24.
