Methodist Church will hold its annual Aki
Matsuri (fall festival) on
Saturday, Sept 15 from 11am to 4pm. The church is located
at 566
N. 5th
St. (For a map click
here.) People
can enjoy food,
fun, and festive activities and eating traditional
Japanese American foods — Inari-zushi and Maki-zushi,
SPAM musubi, chicken
teriyaki, BBQ ribs, soba, chicken salad, Aki dogs, manju and
soda, sno cones and strawberry shortcake. |

 Our
outdoor farmers
market will be filled with both cut and potted
fragrant flowers as well as beautiful
houseplants. Also for sale will be many
hand-made crafts, Japanese used books, Wesley Cookbook, home-made jams, Christmas ornaments and White Elephant items.

Visitors will enjoy the
ongoing
entertainment including some great local talent with Wesley's own Wesley
Jazz Ensemble. The Wesley
Ukulele
Band will perform their collection of sing-along "oldies" and
Hawaiian favorites! Ukulele Jams and Hula by Na Wai Ola will also perform. The San Jose
Taiko will perform in their
festive uplifting fashion and is an annual crowd pleaser. |
